Did not meet :(

  1. Hi Kelsie, I absolutely love your blog--your posts are detailed and witty at the same time, and I didn't know that so much stuff (like a room full of birds in cages) was going on at the back of NYSM! I was only wondering: because your internship is based on Dr. Kirchman's findings that only the rails in Solomon Islands are relatively separate from other rail birds, is there anything special about Solomon Islands that he suspects might have caused this deviation? I love your photos and sketches and descriptions! Keep it up :)

  2. Jeeyon, THANKS :D What's so interesting about the Solomon Islands is how they are like the Galapagos Islands in the sense that they are a bunch of small islands fairly close together. This allowed the rail birds to develop specific and unique adaptations over time and increase the diversity of these birds.
